He worked for many years in the field of construction and as a painter. During his spare time he enjoyed to hunt and fish, Johnny was preceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Buck Edwards and Elmer Lee Barnes and sister, Betty Lou Barnes.
Survivors include his son, Harley Weeden Barnes of Brandon, MS; daughter, Robbie Jean Barnes Byram, MS; brother Bill Ball of Morgan, Utah; sisters, Norma Jean Bunch of Council Hill and Gerry Barnes of Tulsa; one granddaughter; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Barnes will be held on Saturday, Dec.2, 2006 in the Council Hill School Gymnasium at 2:00 p.m., Interment will follow in the Council Hill Ceetery. .
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hampton Mortuary 211 W. Okmulgee, Checotah, Okla
