Avery Allen Edwards, 99, of Paragould passed away Monday, November 7, 2022. He was born August 31, 1923, in Rector, to Albert and Ann Edwards. Avery was a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Fishing, reading his Bible and John Grissom novels were among favorite past times. Spending quality time with family was a great joy. Giving good advice and telling great stories were two of Avery's exceptional qualities. Avery was kind hearted and always put God first.

Avery was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; four brothers; four sisters; two sons, Danny and Gary Edwards; and two step-sons, Michael and Richard Dachs.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years; Frances Edwards; daughters, Teresa Campbell (Donny) and Mary Mills (Glen); sons, David Dachs (Tracey) and Jim Dachs (Cindy); 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 11, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service with military honors will begin at noon at Phillips Funeral Home with Bro. Royce Boling officiating. Burial will be private.
