Edward Shaffer, 81 died early Monday at his home in Eaton after being seriously ill only a week. He spent all of his life in Preble County with the exception of residence for 20 years in Great Falls Mt. Surviving are the widow, Clara; four daughters including Mrs. Clarabelle Wilson of New Hope and five sons one of whom lives in Great Falls, two in California one in Java and the other in Salt Lake City, Utah.
