Herbert S. "Curley" Danner, 74, of 2915 Socorro St., died at his home Friday afternoon.

He was born Aug. 20, 1908, in Estancia, and was a retired laundry operator and owner. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

In 1977, he moved to Deming from Phoenix, Ariz., and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Wheeler Mortuary is in charge of arranging for cremation. No services are planned.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Danner; a son, Jack Danner of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Cindy Gorsuch, El Toro, Calif. ; one sister, Pauline Kerr, Deming; and two grandchildren.
