Born at Hyrum, Utah, Mr. Halgren came to Indianapolis 11 years ago. He had retired in 1938 after serving more than 50 years with the C. & E. I. Railroad.
He was a member of North Methodist Church and the Association of Retired Railway Employees.
A son, Ross M. Halgren, a granddaughter and a great-grandson survive.
