Jim as he was known by everyone, was united in marriage to Willie Faye Rushing, who preceded him in death.
Jim served his country proudly in the United States Army in Germany. He worked as a mechanic for Sam Teague Ford for ten years. Jim was a member of Eureka United Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. In his spare time he enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother who raised him, Lucille Petigo Davis; son, George David Davis; sisters Wilma J. "Jean" Crowe and Mary E. "Lisa" Smith, and brothers Benjamin Franklin Davis and James Howard Davis.
