She lived life on her terms.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleora J. and Dewey A. Adkins.

Born in LaGrande, Oregon to Cleora and Dewey Adkins, Vicki was the second of four daughters. She called the entire state of Oregon her home, as her father's work in the construction industry took the family to many small towns across Oregon, Idaho and Washington, giving her a diverse background, a love of travel and new adventures.

Moving to Wasco, Oregon in the spring of 1963, she attended Wasco Elementary School. She is a graduate of Sherman County Union High School, Moro, Oregon. Vicki graduated from Portland State University (1974) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.

Vicki has resided in the Portland Metro area since moving to Portland to attend college in 1971.

She enjoyed a career in public relations and marketing at the Port of Portland, Cascade General Shipyard, and West Coast Productions. Vicki retired as the marketing communications manager for Pulse Electronics (Vancouver, WA) in 2012.

Vicki's passions in life included spending time with family; traveling throughout the U.S.; ocean cruising to Alaska, Italy and the Panama Canal; researching family genealogy, live theater performances, and all things Irish. She was a competitive Irish dancer for many years. In 1980, she and friends, spent six weeks traveling and dancing in Ireland. She handled the registration process for the Oregon State Championship Feis competition for many years and loved to see the "wee' ones dance.

Survivors include her sisters, Krista K. Fischer, K.C. Reinhart (Joe) and Jody Adkins Flemming; her beloved nieces and nephews, Brogan Flemming (Justin), Trey Flemming, Cooper Reinhart, Carson Reinhart, and Emma Reinhart; her aunts and uncles, Harold Kay Mansfield (Powell Butte), James L. Mansfield (LaGrande), Beth and Gary Harn (The Dalles), Iris Adkins (Union) and numerous cousins.

Vicki is also survived by some very special friends, Leesa Bye and The Rev. Chris Dungan.

She is missed immensely by her siblings, Krista Fischer of Brightwood, Oregon; KC Reinhart of Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Jody Adkins Flemming of Atlanta, Georgia.

A celebration of her life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Cherry Park United Methodist Church, 1736 S.E. 106th, Portland, Oregon.
