Mary Elizabeth "Sissy" "Sis" White was born on November 11th, 1938 in Granby, Missouri to Arthur William White and Nancy Marie Vance White. She was one of five children. Mary was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Granby High School in 1956. She worked as a cook at the East Newton Schools for many years, co-owned and operated Ken's Café, and co-owned and operated with her husband, Channel Farms. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Granby Golden Girls.

On May 27, 1958, Mary married Kenneth Darrel Channel and together had four children. Mary "Sis" "Sissy" Channel is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and sister as well as her husband and son Tom and daughter Brenda and granddaughter Sissy Lane. She is survived by two sons and daughter and their spouses; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one brother, Elton White, and wife, Gloria; sister-in-law, Mae White as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Mary Elizabeth "Sissy" Channel was born November 11, 1938, in Granby, Missouri, one of five children to Arthur W. and Nancy M. (Vance) White. She entered into rest on November 4, 2022, in the comfort of her home in Granby at the age of 83. Mary was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Granby High School in 1956. She worked as a cook at the East Newton Schools for many years, co-owned and operated Ken's Café, and co-owned and operated with her husband, Channel Farms. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Granby Golden Girls. On May 27, 1958, Mary and Kenneth Channel were united in marriage in Miami, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2013. Surviving are one daughter; two sons; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one brother, Elton White, and wife, Gloria; sister-in-law, Mae White and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Thomas L. Channel, a daughter, Branda Lane, a granddaughter, Sissy Lane, two brothers, Bud and Bob White, a sister, Nancy Lewis, and her parents.
