68-year Auburn resident dies
Funeral services for Laura B. Coleman, 96, an Auburn resident since 1907 and long-time poultry farmer will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Price Helton Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Coleman operated a poultry farm with her husband, William, at 29th and F Streets Southeast, where Mrs. Coleman lived for more than 50 years.
Born April 1, 1879, in Macon, Ill., she died Thursday at Green River Terrace Nursing Home where William died in 1963.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Margaret) Elliott and Mrs. Al (Belma) Aspholm of Auburn, and Mrs. Harry Jacobs of St. Louis, Mo. and a son, William Coleman of Pahoa, Hawaii.
Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Auburn.
The family requested that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
