Alexandria Alex Alberta Anderson-Horton was born on April 13, 1990, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Lois Anderson and Vernon Horton. Alexandria attended schools in the Indianapolis Public School System. She also lived in Evansville, Indiana and attended school there. Alex attended Ivy Tech and had an interest in the study of Forensics. Alex had dreams of completing her college degree.
Alexandria worked in customer service and health care. She truly enjoyed her current position as a home health care aide with Mama Annie's Home Care. She felt like working with her patient was her calling. Alexandria's pride and joy was her only child, her "Sonshine", her "Forever Love" Jahmir. She loved him more than anything in the world. Jahmir was her biggest motivation in life. Alex enjoyed taking Jahmir and his cousins and friends swimming, to fairs, shopping, roller skating, amusement parks, etc. She and Jahmir were the sweetest and cutest mother/son pair. Jahmir has his mom's name saved in his phone as "My Biggest Cheerleader". Their bond was unbreakable! They loved each other very much. Alexandria's smile and laughter would brighten any room. She loved her family and friends. She was the one you knew would be there no matter what, if you needed her. She enjoyed attending family gatherings for birthdays, holidays, game nights, parties, etc. Alex also loved hanging out with friends, laughing, and having a good time. She enjoyed all types of music, including rock. Alexandria conquered challenges because she was a very strong woman. She believed in God and was baptized at Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church. She knew that God was her source for joy, peace, and strength and that carried her through difficult times in life. Alexandria departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the age of 32. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Lois Anderson; grandparents. Lois and Alberta Anderson as well as Herbert and Florence Horton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jahmir Antonio Lee Dixon; father, Vernon Lee Horton; sister, Maisha Horton and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends. Alexandria was so loved that one of her cousins named his daughter in her honor, Guinevere Alexandria born July 26, 2022.

She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
