Mrs. Render was born in Oxbow Nov. 26, 1868, a daughter of Joseph and Emily Carr. Her husband passed away Jan 31, 1931. Mrs. Render had lived most of her life around Antwerp and Oxbow.
She was a member of the M. E. church of Oxbow and the Ladies Aid Society and was formerly a member of the Rebekah lodge of Antwerp.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clara Tracy, Black River, and Mrs. Mae Backus of Diamond; and two sons, Harry Render of Fine View and Harold Render of Woodville; also survives a number grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also has three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Risdale, Mrs. Hattie Hutton and Mrs. Ella Farnell of Watertown. The funeral was held at Mrs. Backus' home near Diamond on Saturday at 1 p.m. and interment took place at the oxbow cemetery.
