Albert Lee Ensor, 65, of Upperco died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at Dove House Hospice in Westminster. Born Sept. 12, 1942, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Gerald Merryman and Virginia Laura Forwood Ensor. He was the husband of Dorothy Crocker Ensor, his wife of 37 years. He grew up on a dairy farm near Shawan, and was active in 4-H clubs and won awards for showing animals at 4-H Fairs and the State Fair. He attended Hereford High School. He had been employed by PowerRmatic in Finksburg, and after retiring from there in 1992, he and his wife ran their own food business. He was an active member of the Church of the Open Door in Westminster and participated in many clubs and community organizations. He enjoyed providing parties and games for the children in the neighborhood. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sisters and brother-in-law Geraldine Ensor Hall and the Rev. Ted Hall of Roanoke, Va., and Phyllis Gail Ensor of Reisterstown; and numerous nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, with the Rev. John Campbell officiating. Interment will be in All Saints' Cemetery in Reisterstown. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dove House Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157-5629; or to the Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, MD 21157.
