Bruce D. Hammond, 45, of Stacey Lane, died July 2, 2008, at Mercy Hospital with family by his side.
He was born in West Point, N.Y., on June 11, 1963, the son of Jackson E. and Patricia E. Fagan Hammond. Bruce was educated in Chugiak, Alaska schools, graduated from Chugiak High School and graduated from a Phoenix, Ariz. Trade School. He was a Logistical Manager at R G & B Services in Anchorage, Alaska and a member of St. Anthony Church of Eagle River, Alaska.
Bruce was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and competitions, snowmobiling and much more. As a teenager he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America in Eagle River, Alaska, where he reached Eagle Scout, which is the highest level in scouting.
