Formerly of St Marys, Pottawatomie Ks passed away at Elkhart, KS, where she had moved in 2003. She was born in Alma Waubansee Co, KS, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Ringel) Thowe. Marie taught country schools and received her teaching certificate Kansas State Teachers College in 1931. On December 10, 1933 she married Fred C. Grieshaber and they farmed west of St Marys. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1993. She was a member of the Wells Creek Immanual Church of Christ. Marie was a farm wife, caregiver, nature observer, traveler gardner, orchidist, quilter and cheerful participent in Life. Survivors. include chilren; Robert (wife Patti) Grieshaber, Elkhart; Janet and husband Ken Lakin; Richmond, OR;sister Mabel Grieshaber of Wamego, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held February 12, Valley View Cemetary, St Marys.
