Mrs. Hester was born on March 11, 1932 in Mountain View, Ark., to Ben and Desi Jane (Avey) Horton.
She married Billy W. Hester on May 3, 1955, in Colorado City.
Lucille owned and operated a dairy farm for 10 years as well as a general store in Tennessee Colony. After moving to Cisco, where she owned and operated the Colony Restaurant, Lucille was active in the Order of the Easter Star and a member of the First Baptist Church of Clyde.
She is survived by her husband, Billy W. Hester of Clyde; sons, Kenneth Hester of Euless, Billy W. Hester Jr. and wife Martha and Rickey Hester, all of Conroe; daughters, Nancy Bacon and husband Truman of Cisco and Karla Roberts and husband Craig of Clyde; sister, Melzora Rawls of Brownwood; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, a daughter and a grandson.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hirsch and his staff for all of their care and support during the past few months.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
