She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a lifetime member of the Pollocksville Baptist Church where she taught children's Sunday school for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Heber Jay "Pete" Thomas; her brother, J.D. Banks; and her sister, Frances Banks Johnson.
Funeral services were held at Noon, Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Maysville with the Rev. John Lewis officiating. Burial in the Dogwood Memorial Cemetery in Maysville.
Surviving are her daughter; two sons; four brothers; four sisters; her grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren.
