Samuel Lee Ashlock, 70 years old, a retired farmer, died of chronic Bright's disease Sunday afternoon at his home, 518 North Osage Street, Independence, MO. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Manda C. Ashlock, of the home; two sons, Claude M Ashlock of the home, and Benjamin P. Ashlock, 325 South Osage Street, Independence; a half brother Macon Seaton, of Kiger Road and Parker Avenue, Independence, and a half sister, Mrs. Maggie Paschall, of Puryear, Tenn. There are seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Carson Undertaking rooms at 2:30 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, in charge of the (sic) Rev. J.T. Overcast. and the burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, MO

Samuel is the son of Sarah Margaret Wilson and Benjamin Ashlock. The step son of Elisha Green Seaton.
