Virgil's mother begged him to stay home.
But he went with a friend Virgil Tivis
and Juanetta Kent (daughter of Willie
'Stidham' Kent. Juanetta married C.T.
Tivis brother of Virgil Tivis. Juanetta
accidentally hit the gas paddle and the
car flipped over. It rolled on top of
Virgil Stidham's head, he bleed to death
before anyone could get to him. He
was suppose to go in the service
the next day. Mom said it was during WW II.
