Lowell was a prolific reader of Western novels, and an avid card player. He served during WWII in the Army Air Corp, and was a 50 year member of The Elks, Eagles and Legion. Lowell moved to Lake Havasu City in 1972 and was a business partner of L&B Plumbing for 20 years. He married Alberta Jean Walker in Ottumwa, Iowa on June 30, 1946. They had two sons; Stephen MacLearn and Wayne MacLearn.
Lowell is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Eunice MacLearn, eldest son Stephen MacLearn, grandson Shawn MacLearn, and wife of 62 years, Alberta.
He is survived by his son Wayne (Carolyn) MacLearn of Fort Madison, Iowa; brother Charles MacLearn of Waverly, Iowa; sister Elaine MacLearn of Glendale, Arizona and sister Connie Wright of Camp Verde. Lowell is also survived by five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Services to be held on July 9, 2022 at The Elks Lodge in Lake Havasu, at 4 pm.
