He was born on March 8th 1930 in Port Henry, N.Y., to Maurice and Lula (Moore) Anderson.
He married Joyce Louise Gonyo on November 9th 1950. Together they had three children; one daughter and two sons.
He retired from Moriah Central School where he worked as the Bus Mechanic for many years.
Willy was a member of the Masonic Lodge Rescue # 772 of Crown Point, N.Y. The Masons meant a lot to him.
He was a member of the Mount Moriah Church in Port Henry, N.Y. where he had many friends who looked after him and he tried to look after them.
His passions in life were, hunting, fishing, boating, camping at the Port Henry beach campground. He also enjoyed traveling the world with his companion Bev DeZalia. In his later years he spent most of his time visiting with his many friends. He also had a few exciting hunting trips with his son Allen. They even went hunting in Africa together.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 38 years, his brother; Andrew and his wife; Marjorie Anderson and their infant son; Maurice, his sister; Nancy and her husband; Alanson (Buddy) Abbey. He often said if he wanted to see his family, he had to go to the cemetery.
Arrangements by the Harland Funeral Home on 4279 Main Street in Port Henry, N.Y.
Burial will be at the Union Cemetery in Moriah N.Y.
