Mrs. Jimmie S. Hollingsworth, 86 of 305 West Oak St. Arcadia, died at DeSoto Memorial Hospital Sunday Aug. 6, 1978 from a prolonged illness.
She was born in Arcadia, lived here her entire life. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and was very active in all church activities.
She is survived by one son, A. P. Hollingsworth, Jr. Arcadia, one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Doris) Lanier, Arcadia, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Mark Weaver officiating. Burial was in Joshua Creek Cemetery. Robarts-Grady Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorial gifts be sent to the Calvary Baptist Church.
