Billy Gene Berry, 56, of McKinney passed away at his home on Monday, October 24, 2022. Born October 11, 1966, he was the son of Brenda Privette Pittman of McKinney and the late Carl Gene Berry. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, James E. Pittman.
Billy had worked for the Allen Company the past 25 years. He enjoyed watching Westerns and riding Harleys and side-by-sides. Billy loved his family and helping in the community. He never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Bertheda Patterson Berry; sons: Devin Berry of Texas, Daniel (Jasmine) Berry of Texas, and Jonathan (Susan) Atwood of Moreland; sister, Carla Vanhook of McKinney; grandchildren: Daniel Berry, Jr., Jaylee Berry, and Dianna Quinton; nephews, Joe (Tori) Vanhook of Danville and Andrew (Megan) VanHook of Lancaster; and niece, Karlie (Billy) Robinson of Burgin.
Visitation is 11am-1pm, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 1pm with Bro. Johnny Ray Walls officiating. Burial is at KP Hall Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason King, Travis Wohner, Randy Brown, Dylan Brown, Joe Vanhook, and Andrew VanHook. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren: Daniel, Jaylee, and Dianna and his nieces and nephews: Zoe, Julie, Emerson, Brody and Edison.
