Vickie Kay Adams was born June 1, 1957, in Anchorage, Alaska the daughter of Jack and Ginger (Smalley) Hougardy. She attended and graduated from Thayer High School in 1975.
Vickie enjoyed crafts, boating, picnics, and holidays. She also loved oldies music, gardening, and was very meticulous about keeping her house spotless. Her family states that she was also an excellent cook.
Survivors include her children, Ronie Johnson of Neodesha Kansas, Deke Leck of Wichita, Kansas, Jackie Schierlman of Cherryvale Kansas and Cole Adams Juneau, Alaska; brothers, Alan Hougardy of Thayer, Kansas and Steven Hougardy of Riverside, California; six grandchildren, Shaeli Rash, Ethan Schierlman, Carson Leck, Kolton Leck, Jack Leck and Grayson Grimes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ginger Hougardy, sisters, Karen Hougardy and Sandy McDowell.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
