James B. Passmore passed away in Houston on December 11, 2015, just 10 days short of his 90th birthday. Jimmy was born December 21, 1925, in Oklahoma City, Ok. He served in the U.S. Navy after High School during World War II. His family moved to Houston from Oklahoma, where he met and then married his wife Virginia in February 1949. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Serra Club. J.B. started his own business, J.B. Passmore, Inc., in 1958 and was actively involved until recently. The company continues to be successful and remains in the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joe, and his sister, Anita. Survivors include his wife, Ginger, his sister, Margaret, his children, Janet and husband, Rick, Tommy and wife, Cassie, Don and wife, Malia, Mark and wife, Lari, ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. The most important person in his life was Ginger, his wife of 66 years.

His favorite activities were work, playing golf, and being surrounded by family and friends. He was an extraordinary husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa and will always be in our hearts.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM (Rosary at 7:00) in The Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Monsignor Rossi on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 10:00 AM, St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77056. Reception will follow immediately in the Parish Hall.
