Ray Dean was born on November 30,1936 to Robert and Zelma Axe. He grew up on a farm in Dimmitt, Texas with his three brothers. During High School he played Varsity football. After Graduating in 1954 he went into the army. There he proudly served in Panama working on the first microwave towers. Those were interesting stories. He married the love of his life Mary Ann on February 6th, 1959 in Albuquerque, NM. He also served as a past State President of the Eagles in 1966. Most of his work he either did Roofing or Drywalling. During this time he made his life time friends. They gave him the nickname "Rojo." Our dad's favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, gardening and ok a little gambling. Ray Dean passed away in Lewiston, Idaho on July 23, 2020, surrounded by his sons Ronnie, Darren, and his niece Cindy. Those left to cherish his memory are Ronnie (Kim), Linda (Antonio), Barbra (Steve), Darren (Alex) grandchildren Chistopher (Brittany), Jacob, Ryan (Heather), Travis (Rosa), Tyler (Elizabeth), Keenan, Kylie (Curtis), 5 great grand, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann, parents Robert and Zelma Axe, three brothers Zane, Richard, and David. Great grandson Dane. As he was passing Ray was presented with a Quilt of Valor for his service.
