Leo Edward Pollitt, age 84, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022. He was the widower of Carolyn Virginia Hunt Pollitt. Born in Lewis County, Kentucky, on November 4, 1937, his parents were the late George W. Pollitt and the late Victoria Sharp. Leo was a farmer, who milked for several local farmers. He was a member of New Life Church of Christ and was known as the mayor of Crestview.

 

He is survived by: four children, Leo Estill (Claudia) Pollitt, Jackie Fleming (Nina) Pollitt, Penny (James) Richmond and Ricky (DeAnna) Pollitt; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sibling, Jewell Pollitt; several half-siblings; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents and wife of 64 years, Carolyn, he was preceded in death by: a son, Darrell Lee Pollitt; and two siblings, Alonzo Pollitt and Ruth Bryant.

 

The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, with Bro. James Ray Hickerson officiating. Leo will be laid to rest at Elizaville Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ricky Pollitt, Estill Pollitt, Jackie Pollitt, Justin Elliott, Ricky Stetson Pollitt and Waylon Wrangler Pollitt. Honorary pallbearers are Raymond Pollitt, Rocky Hunt, Alyssia Pollitt, Katelyn Pollitt, Newell Pollitt, Blake Cannon, Hannah Fizer, Maggie Pollitt and James Richmond. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
