Obituary:

Frank Douglas Allday (1949-2007) passed away from complications related to cancer on December 2nd, 2007 in Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by his parents, Frank and Margret Ann Allday, his sister, Cindy Ellis (Ron); his wife, Patricia Gantt Allday, and his four children; Curt, Clint, Kara, and Claire. "Doug" was born and raised in Dallas, TX, and received his bachelors from Southern Methodist University. Along with being a devoted husband and father, he had many interests and passions. As a teenager, he played in the band at Bryan Adams High School and was a fan of The Byrds, Tom Petty, and Bruce Springsteen. As an adult, he was a BMW fanatic and owner, yet also reserved enthusiasm for classic cars. He was a closet poet, photographer, amateur videographer, and singer. He was a dog lover, with a fondness for Basset Hounds. He was an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, World Cup Soccer, and baseball. Doug was also a very successful business man as sales manager for STATS ChipPAC, President of Kyocera Solar, and Vice President of Operations and regional sales manager for Kyocera America. He was a world traveler, an entrepreneur, restaurateur, and an active supporter of the Notre Dame Preparatory community. He was adored by his friends and colleagues, all won over by his incredible charisma, integrity, and charm. Above all, his love for life is reflective in his immediate family and their love for one another. No matter what, his family was at the forefront. In his final years, he was not only sustained by the prayers of all who knew and knew of him, but his solace and devotion in Christ and the Catholic faith which provided strength, courage, and peace. He will be dearly missed and remembered always. Donations, in his memory, can be made to Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) Foundation, 302 West Main Street, Suite #100, Avon, CT 06001 or online at the CdLS Foundation's secure Web page: https://www.cdlsusa.org/secure/donation.asp or Hospice of the Valley.
