ABSHIRE OPAL "ELOISE" Born in Cleburne, TX in 1929. Resided in the Dallas area since 1977.Beloved Wife and Mother. Survived by her daughter, Ann of Plano, Sister-in-law Ellen McGee, Sister and Brother-in-law, Ethelyn and O.D. Farmer, niece Pat Schack and her family, Robert, David and Sara, and nephews, Jack McGee, Dr. Steven and Becky Farmer, and Michael Farmer and countless loved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She was an active member of Prestonwood Baptist Church and loved her fellow Agape Sunday School members. Sadly diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 1998 witch limited her participation. She attended Cleburne High School and received a Bachelor of Secretarial Science from TCU where she met her loving husband, Bill Abshire. They were wed in Cleburne in 1951 and were happily married for 42 years until his passing in 1993. She was a legal secretary until she retired when her only child, Ann, was born. She loved dogs, traveling, Disney World, birds and entertaining. She was a gracious, loving person who will be tremendously missed by all her life touched. Donations to the American Alzheimer's Association can be made in her honor. Visitation will be Monday December 3, 2007 at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be Tuesday December 4, 2007 at 10:00 in Restland Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park.
