Paul Rodney Wright, 90, of Brighton, TN, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. He was retired, having worked 20 years with Dupont, and a veteran of the United States Navy. During his 20-year naval career, he was a Master Chief Parachute Rigger, serving in Korea and Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Wright; his daughter, Paulette Black; his parents, Paul and Onia Dell Huggins Wright; four siblings, Harold Wright, Charles Wright, Virginia Griffin, and Phyllis Stimpson, and two grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Ramona Wright Bailey, of Brighton; his son, Randy Allen Wright, of Meridianville, AL; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, and three siblings, Garnett Wright, of Jackson, Carey Wright, of Covington, and Everette Wright, of Winter Garden, FL.

A graveside service in Morrison Memorial Cemetery in Brighton will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 21. Visitation for family and friends will begin two hours prior in the chapel of Covington Funeral Home, and the family will travel in procession together to the cemetery. Reverend Doug Buchanan will officiate the service. Kaden Bailey, Karson Wildes, Nate Wildes, Collin Wanser, James Paul Wright, and Ben Villarreal will serve as pallbearers.
