For his entire working life he was employed at National Manufacturing Company in Sterling, Illinois. Upon retirement he and Helen traveled the globe. Leroy was proud of saying he'd been to every continent but Antartica and twice to New Guinea.
He and Helen were married just two months shy of 67 years and are buried next to each other in the Prairieville Cemetery.
