Flight Officer (FO) (with the rank of Lieutenant by the end of his military service) Robert C. Bourgeois was the bombardier for Crew 13 of the famed Doolittle Raiders.

After graduation from high school he attended Delgado Trade School, New Orleans, Louisiana.

He began his military service on October 14, 1939 in New Orleans.
He graduated from Bombsight Maintenance School at Lowry Army Air Field in Colorado.

After the famed Tokyo raid, Robert remained in the China-Burma-India theater until July 15, 1943. He separated from active duty on March 9, 1946.

Lt. Bourgeois' many decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Chinese Army/Nav/ Air Corps Medal, Class A, 1st Grade.
