Julia Naomi Parsons Dean, 83, of Dunbar and formerly of Charleston, passed away on October 12, 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House West, after a long illness.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Julia was a former member of West Dunbar Community Church and currently attending Bethel Chapel Church.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dean; daughter, Judith A. Guthrie; granddaughter, Marchel L. Guthrie; and daughter-in-law, Daphne L. Dean.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, David Dean of Dunbar; grandson, Matthew Dean and wife Megan; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Nora all of Hamilton, OH; son-in-law, Wayne Guthrie of Charleston; sister-in-law, Rosie Carter Parsons of Ravenswood; special great-niece, Elizabeth Galindorf of Chicago, IL; and a host of family and friends.
Julia will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 15 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow in Guthrie Cemetery, Sissonville.
Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
