Richard was born on January 4, 1931, in Lima, OH, a son of the late Charles and Opal McDorman Morse.
He was also preceded in death by four siblings, Chuck Morse, Joan Morse, Jackie Morse, and James Morse.
He is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Chris) Garlock of Lima, OH and Heidi (Marc) Rogols of Circleville, OH, nine grandchildren, Nathan (Missy) Garlock, Rebecca (Ricky) Suever, Samantha Garlock, Alexis Garlock, Jonathan Garlock, William Garlock, Olivia Garlock, Stephanie Ludlow, and Dylan (Dallas) Neff, 11 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Janel Morse, and special friend, Kim Wireman.
Richard was a 1950 graduate of Lima South High School.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Korea.
He worked for Sheller Globe Corporation for many years and then on an Alaskan oil rig.
He was a member of Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39, and Indian Lake Eagles Aeries #3615, both of Lakeview, and VFW Post #1275 of Lima.
He enjoyed restoring cars, playing golf, and doing yardwork. He also enjoyed traveling, taking several trips by car to Alaska.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held later at IL Eagles in Lakeview.
