The Battle Creek Times - Thursday , September 16th, 1926 - On Tuesday afternoon the body of Charles William Kendall, uncle to Will Kendall, arrived in Battle Creek for burial at Mount Hope cemetery. Charles Kendall is well remembered by old timers, having
lived here in former years.
Short funeral services were conducted at the cemetery in the presence of the immediate relatives, Rev. W.H. MacEwen officiating at the last rites for the deceased.
Charles William Kendall was born in Illinois February 20, 1863. On September 26, 1889, he was married at Ord, Nebraska, and passed away at his home in Anamosa, Iowa, Saturday, Sept. 11, 1926.
Of his four children, Mrs. Ethel Morfitt of Windom, Minn., and Mrs. Alice Dunham of Emporia, Kansas, survive him; the other two, Mrs. Cecil Christiansen and Miles, having gone on before. Other immediate relatives left to mourn his death are one sister and 3 brothers.
