Evelyn Christiansen, 99, of Peoria, Arizona died on August 30, 2014 from natural causes. Evelyn was born in Riverside, Idaho on July 26, 1915 and was the daughter of Amanda and Orville J. Cobbley. She attended school in Burley, Declo and Albion Idaho. She was married to Arthur Christiansen and spent over 65 years together in matrimony. Mr. Christiansen preceded her in death in October of 2003.

Evelyn is survived by her 3 children, Carole Beesley, Dennis Christiansen and Patricia Walters, 9 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren.

Evelyn received her teaching degree and taught school for a few years, once married she became a supportive wife, mother, grandmother, loving homemaker and worked with her husband in his business adventures. She enjoyed her family, golfing, various club associations, stained glass, sewing, hosting parties, bowling among several lifelong hobbies. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A Memorial in her honor will be held at Sunland Mortuary on September 27th at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that anyone interested may donate to her favorite charities; Salvation Army, Humane Society, St. Mary's Food Bank and Desert Oasis Hospice who was with her throughout her final days, and whose support we greatly appreciate.
