Albert J.J. McGurr, 59, of Mountain Road, Stafford Springs, died Saturday (Nov. 30, 1996) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He was born in Cleveland, OH, educated in the Akron School System, and graduated from the Catholic High School in Akron, OH, and attended college for two years.

Albert came to Stafford Springs five years ago. He was a shipping clerk at Westvago, in Springfield, MA for 25 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a communicant of St. Edward Parish, and a member of the National Rifle Assn.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Janes McGurr; three sons, Christopher A. Drawbridge, Gerald R. Drawbridge, all of Stafford Springs, Timothy M. Drawbridge of Berlin, OH; a daughter, Gabrielle McGurr of Massachusetts; his mother, Frances M. Kippes McGurr; an uncle, Rev. Albert Kippes; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, all of Akron, OH.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, 8 p.m., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 E. Main St., Stafford Springs. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling time will be Wednesday, 7-8 p.m.
