Mr. Beagle was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Rush County, the son of Robert and Margaret E. Ryse Beagle. He was a retired insurance agent, having been with the Metropolitan Insurance Co. in Martinsville. He was a member of the Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce in Martinsville.
He is survived by his mother, who resides in Greensburg; two sons: Edward J. Beagle, Greenwood, and James W. Beagle, Cincinnati; one daughter, Mrs. David (Christine) Redelman, Greensburg; one brother, Walker Beagle, Greensburg; four grandchildren: Scott, Michael, Kasey Jo and Eric Redelman; one brother-in-law, Lyman Bennett and one sister-in-law, Norma Beagle all of Greensburg.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Wanda Loyd and Erma Bennett.
The services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg, with the Rev. John Geis officiating,and with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, where a rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. The family suggests that memorials be in the form of donations to the Kidney Foundation of Indiana.
