Mr. Thelmer Banks Sr. of Sherman, Texas passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Brentwood Place Nursing Home in Denison, Texas. He was 82 years old.

Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Harmony Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas with Rev. Clifton Eaton, Pastor of the Church officiating.

Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.

Mr. Banks was born on September 18, 1926 in Sherman, Texas son of Hillard Banks and Sarah Brown and he attended Sherman Public Schools.

In 1947 he married Evelyn Dallas who preceded him in death

Mr. Banks was a butcher for Southern Packing Company. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, the church choir, Laymen Men's Group, and Federated Choir. He was also chairman of the Trustees and a Deacon.

Family visitation will be at Angelic Mortuary in Sherman from 7-8pm Friday February 8, 2008.

Public viewing will be from 10:00am - 8:00pm Friday Feb. 8, 2008
