Martha was preceded in death by her parents Phillip Addrece and Nita Addrece, and her brother Wilber "Junior" Addrece. She was also preceded in death by Willie James "Jimmy Lee" Somerville.
Martha was a homemaker that raised two wonderful daughters that were her pride and joy. For many years her home was the summer retreat for all her grandchildren, where she provided a lot of love, fun and a lifetime of stories that continue to bring smiles to her grandchildren's faces.
Martha possessed a strong will and determination that helped her overcome the crippling effects of polio as a child. Martha was a volunteer for the Right to Life organization. She had a kind heart and liked to help people in any way she could.
Throughout Martha's life she had an unwavering faith in God. Martha was a life long member of The Shack Presbyterian Church until they closed their doors. She then found a home at Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church where she continued to enjoy attending anytime she was in town visiting.
Martha is survived by two daughters, Nita Addrece of Columbus, OH, and Oreda "Rita" Somerville-Jones of Pittsburgh, PA. Eight grandchildren, Constance Addrece (Damarco Wellman), Curtis "Brother" Holman, Chazz Holman, and Courtney Holman, all of Ohio. Shontara Jones, Vivian Jones, and Olivia Jones, all of Pittsburgh. Adam Jones (Felicia Jones) of New York. She has 15 great grandchildren.
Now that Martha has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Martha's physical life on Earth, it's the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 NIV
