She was reared in Avalon and graduated from Avalon High School in 1929. she also attended Draughons Business College for one year.
On June 8, 1930 she married Harold L. Flynt. They moved to Ennis in 1966.
She was employed as a sales clerk for K. Wolens for 19 years. She was a member of Anthony Drive Baptist Church.
She loved quilting for her family. She is survived by her two sons: Jon Flynt of Ennis and Don and Joan Flynt of Bardwell; daughter-in-law Jackie Flynt of Ennis. Seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Flynt on December 21, 1978 and son Edwin Flynt. She was also preceded in death by two daughters-in-law: Barbara Flynt and Mary Flynt. Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation for Clemmie was held Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 at Keever Chapel. Funeral service was held on Thursday at 10am, January 31, 2008 in Keever Chapel.
Interment will be at Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of JE Keever Mortuary.
