Georgia Anderson, daughter of Harold Edmunds and Hazel Thomas (Edmunds) Hodgen, was born in Duluth, MN. The family moved to the Lake Chelan area when she was a young girl, and she attended school in Manson. Georgia married Roy "Andy" Anderson of Chelan in 1952. She worked as a bookkeeper and office mangager for Lund's Electric in Chelan for many years, after which the famliy moved to Alderwood Manor. She then worked for Shaffer and Nelson, an Electricl Manufaturers' Representative for 27 years, retiring in February 2007. Georgia was known and loved for her generous and loving spirit, kindness, intelligence, sharp wit and excellent cooking. Her favorite things were having her family around her and watching Mariners baseball. She passed away following a short illness.

A loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and wife, she is survived by daughters, Kathi Anderson of Kirkland and Karla Linville of Alderwood Manor; grandsons, Matthew Romer (Jody Koehn) of Mukilteo and Zachery Linville; mother, Hazel Hodgen of East Wenatchee; brothers and sisters, Mick Edmunds of Costa Rica; Patty and Don McClellan of Chelan; Jackie and Marshall McGuire of Shelton; Gene and Elizabeth Edmunds of East Wenatchee; and her many nieces and nephews and large extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Andy" Anderson; and father, Harold Edmunds. Georgia was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Georgia's Life will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Chelan at 11 am on May 5, 2007. Interment will be at Fraternal Cemetery, Chelan. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Evergreen Hospice or Bridge Ministries in Kirkland, WA.
