Departed this life, May 16, 1992, James O. Bowser Sr., grandson of the late Mrs. Rosa D. Bowser of 1501 Claiborne St.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Delores B. Burton, Mrs. Geraldine B. Simmons and Ms. Christine R. Bowser; three sons, James O. Jr., George W. and Raymond Bowser; one brother, Dr. Barrington H. Bowser; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home 2100 Fairmount Ave.
Graveside rites will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from Forest Lawn with Dr. G. G. Campbell officiating.
Family and friends will kindly assemble at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:15 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia 00 Clay St.
