Born Sep 02, 1942, in Detroit MI. In Medical field. Married Nancy Calamia [Daughter of Vincent Calamia and Georgia Rita Du Lac; born May 08, 1947] on Oct 31, 1970 in Detroit, MI. Ray received the Bronze Star for service during the Vietnam conflict. Nancy is co-editor of the ANSTETT HISTORY. Ray coordinated the development of the descendant record of the Joseph Emilius Anstett (1-11-2) branch of the Phillip – Catherine (Dresch) Anstett lineage for the 2006-07 update of the 1976 Anstett Family History book, That Those Who Follow. Ray and Nancy have visited Formosa, Ontario, several times, and Nancy has done extensive research in census reports both Canada and the United States. She has contacted and corresponded with several branches of Anstetts in those countries. Nancy is a nurse. 1 son: Timothy.

Raymond proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Following his service, on October 31, 1970, Raymond exchanged vows with Nancy Calamia. Raymond made his career as a certified dietary manager for local nursing homes. Raymond was a proud member of VFW Post 1407 in Ferndale. In his free time, Raymond researched his family genealogy.

Beloved husband of Nancy, joined in love for 51 years. Loving father of Tim. Dear brother of Dianne and the late Gerald.

A visitation for Raymond will be held on Thursday, October 13, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm with a 6:00 pm rosary at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (4 blks. E. of Woodward), Royal Oak, 48067. Raymond will lie in state on Friday, October 14, from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 South Lafayette Avenue, Royal Oak, 48067. Raymond will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
