Phyllis Ann Curtis passed peacefully in her home October 5, 2022. Born in Columbus Ohio to parents James and Berthe Wilson. She was the middle of three children, Loel younger and Bill older.

She met and married Joe C. Curtis Jr and became a strong military wife. Their early days in the navy had them bouncing around the country, which also included a duty stop in Italy. Finally settling in Norfolk, children soon followed. She was the proud mother of two boys, Joe III and Michael. She was the classic military wife and mother. Especially when her husband was deployed. With no family in the area, she left to care for two rambunctious children as well as the day-to-day issues of the household.

As she aged, her faith grew stronger. She was a member of the Rock Church in Virginia Beach She made many strong long-term friendships. None better than her dearest friend Barbra Fedderman. She was a source of comfort, friendship, and faith for Phyllis and her family.

Phyllis is survived by two sons, Joe III and Michael. Grand children Kyle and Christopher. Daughters in law Charlene and Stacy Curtis. Kyle's wife Katy PA and their children Miles and Micah.

A graveside service will held at Woodlawn on Oct 13 at 2:00.
