FORMER LOCAL WOMAN KILLED IN ACCIDENT
Mrs. Etta Bierly, 38, who with her husband, Frank Bierly, formerly lived on a farm south of Lewisburg, suffered fatal injuries at Hamilton Sunday night about 8:30 o'clock, when the coupe she was driving collided head-on with a city street car. She suffered a broken neck and leg injuries, and died in an ambulance enroute to the hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Bierly were visiting her mother, Mrs. Mary Kelley, in Hamilton and were spending the evening with a party of friends at the home of Mrs. Bierly's cousin. She and Fred Bicknell, Hamilton, had started out to get lunch for the party when the accident occurred. Witnesses stated her car was crowded in front of the street car by another machine. Bicknell was cut and bruised about the head.
Funeral and burial occurred at Eaton Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Etta Bierly, 38, of Eaton, was instantly killed, at 8:30 Sunday night when the auto which she was driving collided with a city street car in Hamilton on Grand boulevard. Mrs. Bierly's neck was broken and she died instantly. Fred Bicknell, 26, of Hamilton, who was also in the car received a scalp wound and internal injuries. He was removed to Mercy hospital in Hamilton.
It is said that Mrs. Bierly was driving her car east on Grand boulevard across the Miami and Erie canal bridge, and that it crashed into the front of a west bound city car. The motorman was not injured. He stated that the auto came directly toward the street car and that the driver made no attempt to swerve aside until too late to avoid the collision.
Mrs. Bierly had lived in and around Eaton for 13 years. She was born in Kentucky. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the F.O. Girton funeral parlor. Rev. Roscoe Walters, pastor of the Univeralist church officiated. Interment in Mound Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Bierly is survived by her husband, Frank, of Eaton, her mother, Mrs. Mary Kelly of Hamilton, and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Bierly had been to Hamilton visiting her mother and was spending the evening at her cousin's home. She with Mr. Bicknell were enroute to a store to secure refreshments for a party of friends who were at her cousin's home.
