Ida A. Baker, 87, formerly of Miller-Williams Road, Eaton, died Friday, April 28, 2000 at her home in St. Petersburg, Fla. Born June 20, 1912, in Eaton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Fletcher and Hazel (Siler) Jeanes, and had lived in Preble County all her life until moving to Florida eight years ago. She was a secretary for the Preble County Landfill office, and was a member of the Eaton United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Stanley Baker, on April 23, 1991; a brother, Edmund Jeanes; and a sister, Evelyn Crauder.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis McNeely of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a son Darrell Baker of Eaton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, 226 W. Main St., Eaton, with the Rev. James William Whitley officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton.
