Laurium
Allen G. Hoganson, 76, a retired Laurium businessman, died early this morning at Calumet Public Hospital shortly after being admitted.
Born May 7, 1912 in Calumet, he was a son of Hogan & Ida Hoganson. He attended schools in Marquette & Negaunee.
For 11 years he lived in Pontiac, where he was employed as a tool & die maker for Pontiac Motors and Fisher Body.
Since 1945, he made his home in Laurium, where he owned & operated the Hoganson Body Shop for 12 years. He later was an auto body mechanic for Erikkila Auto & Ford Motor Co. in Calumet, retiring in 1973 due to illness.
On April 20, 1935 he married Nina Nichols in Pontiac.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Calumet.
Surviving are his wife;
7 daughters, Carole (Hugh) Sadberry of Phoenix, AZ; Jeannie (Robert) Sanders of Omaha, NE; Kathleen (Kay) Hoganson of San Diego, CA; Marion (Homer) Trebilock of Omaha, NE; Laurel (Brian) Maki of Berkley; Bonnie (Rod) Kelly of Okinawa; Donna (William) Cox of Ogden, UT;
3 sons, Butch George Hoganson of Ogden, UT; Larry Hoganson of Berkley; the Rev. Timothy Hoganson of Danbury, CT;
1 brother Charles of Lapeer;
3 sisters, Virginia (Julius) Quello of Hurley, WI; Myrtle (Wesley) Nichols of Silver Springs, FL; Edna (William) Kennedy of Pontiac;
