Sharon Sue Blankenship, 76, of Sedalia, MO, passed away October 4, 2022, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born on November 12, 1945, in Sedalia, the daughter of William A. and Ada (Shinn) Arvieux, who preceded her in death.

On February 14, 1979, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Jesse Thomas "JT" Blankenship, who preceded her in death on December 1, 2017.

Sharon attended Green Ridge High School. After her marriage to JT, she moved to Overland Park, KS. In 1997 she and JT moved back to Sedalia to live on her grandmother's farm. Sharon enjoyed her two cats, Sassy and Callie. She loved going to the Missouri State Fair, growing flowers, and feeding hummingbirds. Sharon was an avid cookbook collector. She was a Sedalia Women's Democrat Club member and could always be seen working the polls during election time. Sharon was also a member of the BPW in Sedalia and the Sedalia Moose Lodge #1494.

Survivors include a sister, a brother-in-law, two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Young; her paternal grandparents, William and Elizabeth Arvieux and maternal grandparents, John and Rose Shinn.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

The burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
