MILLS, HOMER - 78, died January 28, 1998, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida.
Born in Roberta, Tenn., April 23, 1919, he was the son of the late CHARLIE and CELIA THOMAS MILLS.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded also in death by his wife, FLORA HAMBEY MILLS; two sons: CHARLES HENRY, and ROBERT MILLS; two brothers, ROBERT and HERBERT MILLS; and one sister, TANIE LACKEY.
He is survived by one son, RONALD MILLS of the New River community; three daughters: GLENDA SPEARS of Indianapolis, Ind., BRENDA GAIL FOSTER, and PEGGY POSEY, both of Oneida; one brother, HOBERT MILLS of Ind.; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, AVERY and ARLEAN LACKEY, and O.E. and JOANN LACKEY; several other nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted January 31, 1998, in the chapel at West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. RONNIE DUNCAN officiating. Music was provided by POLLY MORROW. Interment followed in Hazel Valley Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
