Christian, Artha Bond, 90, of Oneida, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 11, 2000 at Scott County Hospital following a lingering illness.
She was the daughter of the late Jim Bond and Parzida Hatfield Bond and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Leo Anderson; one sister, Rosa Edmonds; and two infant children.
Mrs. Christian, who was a member of Pentecost Baptist Church, is survived by three daughters, Charlene Day and husband Howard of Norma, Florine Lowe and husband Gordan of Jacksboro and Helen Duncan of Oneida; two sisters, Gertrude Norris of Helenwood, and Geneva Norris and husband Kinley of Oneida; one brother, Alford Anderson of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three special friends, Chris and Pat Day and Jerry Pike; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 14, at 8 p.m. at West-Murley Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Day and Rev. Ronnie Arnold officiating. Allison Arnold and Paul and Joel Chitwood sang. Burial was conducted on Saturday, July 15, at 10 a.m. in the Hazel Valley Cemetery.
